Samara will be the city of the sixth World Day “Halal”
The sixth World Halal Day will be held in Samara this year. This is an international event, and it will be one of the largest in 2019 for the Samara province.
Recall that in November last year, the Governor of the Samara Region, Dmitry Azarov, held talks with South Korean Ambassador to Russia U Yun Gyn, during which he indicated the possibility of holding the World Day of Halal in Samara to increase the tourist attractiveness of the region.
The organizers of the World Halal Day will be the regional government, United World Halal Development, and the International Association of Islamic Business, among which a cooperation agreement was signed between the participants of the orientation meeting.
World Halal Day traditionally consists of three parts: an exhibition, a business part an economic summit, and a halal fair.
“The World Halal Exhibition will be held to increase the investment, export potential and tourist attractiveness of the Samara Region, as well as create trade promotion and awareness of the Halal industry,” said Viktor Kudryashov.
Over 100 delegates from 27 countries of the world, 200 Russian stands and 50 exhibitions from different countries of the world (countries of the Persian Gulf, countries of South-East Asia, Brazil, countries of South Africa, Australia, Great Britain and countries of the European Union) are planned to attend. A booth of the Samara region will be installed at the exhibition, where the investment potential of the region will be demonstrated: key projects and investment platforms for locating business.
The program of the event includes the organization of the International Investment and Economic Summit “Russia – the guarantor of partnership”, holding forums, plenary and panel sessions, round tables and B2B negotiations, during which the best investment projects of the Samara region and the most effective investment strategies will be presented.
The purpose of the Summit is to develop the halal industry and strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of the Middle East and Asia.
The participation of representatives of the leading banks of the Russian Federation, the Islamic Development Bank, the Dubai Islamic Bank, companies of the banking sector of the economy, the authorities at the regional, federal and international levels, investors is planned. The summit will have a discussion and excursion character with the opportunity to visit the key investment sites of the region.
The chairman of United World Halal Development, Mr. Abdullah Jamila Mohamed Djinn, spoke about the traditions of this event and noted that for the Samara region, World Halal Day would be a turning point: “In the future, Samara will be the venue for other large-scale events and tourist orientation. ”
According to the results of the meeting, the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Samara Region gave all the necessary instructions for organizing the event.
